Policies and Procedures Regarding the Coronavirus and other Pathogens

 

In order to protect employees, clients, and all visitors of the Activated Body studio, the following policies and procedures will be followed. Please read carefully and do your best to adhere to them as well as report any suspect behavior to the Activated Body staff. 

 

First and Foremost:

Do not come to the studio if you have experienced any of the following: been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 within the past 14 days, are experiencing coughs, shortness of breath, or sore throat, have had a fever in the last 48 hours, lost sense of taste and or smell within the last 24 hours.

  • Payment will be returned when service cannot be redeemed due to illness by either Activated Body staff or client.

 

General Cleanliness Practices:

  • The bathroom will be sanitized and wiped with a microfiber cloth daily

  • Floors will be sprayed with sanitizer and wiped with a microfiber cloth weekly

  • Equipment will be sanitized after each use​

  • Door handles, light switches, and other commonly touched surfaces will be cleaned daily

  • It is recommended that clients use hand sanitizer or wash hands upon entering and leaving the studio

  • All microfiber hand cloths are single use only​

 

Masks/PPE:

Please wear your mask upon entering the studio. If you are unvaccinated we ask that you keep your mask on for the duration of your stay. If you are vaccinated you may remove your mask once you are settled in at your workout station. The instructor will wear a mask while in the studio.

Shoes and Clothes:

Street shoes must be left in the front of the studio. If clients prefer to wear shoes during their class, a second pair of studio shoes must be brought in. Studio shoes are designated as indoor shoes and cleaned prior to use. Grip socks are also available for purchase to wear in the studio in place of shoes. 

 

Clients will be permitted to change clothes in the bathroom.  However, shoes must still be removed at the front of the studio and kept there for the duration of their visit. 

 

Mats and Equipment:

It is recommended that clients bring their own mats and equipment. However, if you do not own your own equipment, Activated Body will allow you to use ours. Mats and equipment are cleaned after each use.

 

Maximum Capacity: 

Class sizes are limited to 5 attendees plus the instructor in order to adhere to the 6 feet apart recommendation. 

Children:

You may bring your children to the studio during your class or session. We do not provide childcare services though so your child must be able to entertain themselves. Children also must wear a mask upon entering the studio and must keep it on if there are more than 2 children from different families in the front area. Children must remove their shoes if they need to use the restroom and masks must be worn as they walk through the studio. Sanitizing hands upon entering and leaving the studio is recommended. 

 

Finally:

If you are diagnosed with Covid-19 or know that you came in contact with it through someone else who is confirmed to have it, please let us know so we can inform those who you came in contact with in the studio. This is not to shame you but to help prevent further spread of the virus. A deep clean of the studio will be done and other necessary precautions, like self quarantining, may be recommended. We at Activated Body take the virus very seriously. We all have to do our part to ensure that everyone feels safe in the studio.
